Well, kind viewer, that's my tile for this week. That's it. Have a good one!
Just kidding. This wouldn't be much of a blog if that's all that I said about my pictures, now would it? Although pictures speak a thousand words, here are a few more to explain the story behind this Zentangle.
Laura Harms' weekly Zentangle challenge #90 this week was to use this string from tanglepatterns.com. I hadn't realized what a great resource the Strings section of tanglepatterns.com was! I loved having it already thought out, ready for tangling. I'm definitely going to use their strings more.
You can kind of see the string in the pictures, but if you were to just look at the tangles you might not think the framework of it all was so simple. I love that about tangling - I never know what the outcome will be, and it's often a seemingly complex design. Not too hard when done one stroke at a time, though!
Tangles used: Cadent, Hollibaugh, Bronx Cheer, Crescent Moon tangleation, and Betweed |
I'm still considering making a second Zentangle in Motion video (click the link if you don't know what I'm talking about), but I want your input. See that poll in the left sidebar, just under my bio? If you wouldn't mind, just check which option you'd like to see me do in a sequel. There's only about a week left to vote, so hop on it! Thanks to all those who have already voiced their opinions!
Okay, now I've covered everything, and I can, truthfully this time, say: "That's it!"
I like it. You always have such unique presentations of your tiles.
ReplyDeleteLove the way you display your tiles!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Love the way yo did the cadent in the corner of your tile. And yeah its hard to discover the original string in your work. But thats always the nice thing of a tile. You have to look twice before you see it. Great :)
ReplyDeleteI like your tile. The betweed looks good, the cadent is just as good.
ReplyDeleteYour choice of backdrop for you tiles are quite interesting, thanks.
Very beautiful and looking so good on the backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteUnique take on all the tangles - love it - keep it coming
ReplyDeleteYour tile has wonderful clarity and depth. I also enjoy your presentation!
ReplyDeleteI love all of the tiles you've posted, and the photos of your tiles are so creative. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteYou are just too cool in the way you tangle and display! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love how you went outside the border. You're inspiring me for my next tangle.
ReplyDeletethis is great, zachary, and i love your running commentary :) i noticed the change up in crescent moon - i like it! and i like how you threw in the bronx cherries - i learned that one at CZT training and it's really fun to play with. i noticed that maria would randomly draw it while rick was talking and instructing us. i don't even think she realized she was drawing it half the time :)
ReplyDeletei wanted to say, too, i like how you background your tile - always interesting and visually attractive. :)
ReplyDeleteColorful/interesting post, as usual! And your tangles are so well done. Nice response to this week's challenge. Look forward to next week on your blog!
ReplyDeleteYou have the art of presentation. Neat tile!
